Foundation
1952 In the years from 1952 to 1969 the Treffurt plant was expanded and enlarged by the constantly increasing production of lifting equipment.
New developments and production of load handling equipment for logistics and cargo handling led to further investments.
1969 the merger of VEB Hebezeugwerk Treffurt with Hebezeugwerk Suhl and the incorporation into the Kombinat TAKRAF took place.
1977 Further expansion, export business with lifting equipment such as winches, hoists and load handling devices was carried out and the production of car jacks as an original equipment manufacturer for passenger cars was significantly increased
From 1972 the company supplied jacks to Volvo, from 1980 to Peugeot and Citroen and proved itself for more than 20 years as a reliable and valued partner of the European automotive industry.
1989 With the fall of the Iron Curtain and German reunification, the situation changed fundamentally. Jack production had to face international competition and was no longer a mainstay for the future.
Therefore, the company continued to develop the lifting equipment for mobile systems, which had already been developed and built during the GDR era.
With the entry into the development and production of vertical lifts, HETEK built up in parallel another pillar with future potential, which offered growth potential due to the demographic development and the legally stipulated barrier-free access to buildings in the public and private sector.
2013 Since 01.11.2013, the company has been operating as HETEK Lift- und Hebetechnik GmbH as a subsidiary of HIRO Lift GmbH with the product groups vertical lifts and lifting systems at its traditional location in Treffurt.
